Porsche Boxsters in So-So Films

I'm always on the look out for Porsches, especially in films. So when I did a search for Porsche Boxsters on IMCDB.org I was let down. Yes, there are plenty of movies and shows that feature a Porsche Boxster, but what let me down was how many are mediocre, so-so films I didn't even see because they looked bad.

The first film I caught on the search was The Waterboy. Yes I've seen in many times, and never noticed the Porsche. The film is not really that good. Seeing Adam Sandler go half retard for a film, it's not a pretty sight. Sure there were funny parts, I laughed many times, but it's not a film I want in my collection. It's only a film I catch on tv and decide that nothing else is worth my time.

Another film on the list was Blues Brothers 2000. Now I saw Blues Brothers and it wasn't half bad. It's considered a classic film so of course I had to see it. But the 2000 version? Not sure I could handle it. I hate when they make films as a sort of sequel sort of nod to another film. They are never as good as everyone hopes and basically just let everyone down. It'd be like if they made another Back to the Future in present day. Don't even get me started on the Star Wars franchise.

The last film that made my list (don't worry there are plenty more. These are from the first page the search rendered) is White Chicks. I've heard mixed things about this film, some people love it and others hate it. I was turned off at the previews, seeing black dudes dressed in plastic white chick costumes wasn't worth my money or my time. I still haven't seen it and don't really want to. The Porsche nod is minuscule and pretty sad.

Even sadder still are the pages and pages of potential let downs in the Porsche Boxster world. Perhaps one day I'll do a post of good movies featuring a Porsche. But then again, those usually get their own article, since it's pretty awesome.
